Championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne topped the second free practice session at the Berlin E-Prix for Techeetah.
Vergne set his best lap with four minutes to go, displacing title rival and 2017 Berlin winner Felix Rosenqvist from the top spot.
Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler driver Lucas di Grassi was on top for most of the session, but was only fourth fastest on the final runs, losing out on third to Vergne’s Techeetah team-mate Andre Lotterer.
Sebastien Buemi briefly went fastest towards the end of the session, but he too found himself moving down the order and ended fifth fastest.
Di Grassi’s team-mate Daniel Abt was sixth, with Dragon’s Jerome d’Ambrosio going seventh fastest for Dragon.
D’Ambrosio only completing three laps, beating Nick Heidfeld’s FP1-topping time with his first flyer, and sat in the pits before returning to the track for the final seconds to complete an untimed lap.
DS Virgin Racing’s Alex Lynn and Sam Bird sandwiched the lead Jaguar car of Mitch Evans in ninth, with Oliver Turvey leading the NIO charge in 11th.
The championship returnees (Luca Filippi, Tom Dillmann and Stephane Sarrazin) were closer to the pace than in the opening free practice session, but the latter two still languished at the bottom of the timesheets.
