Valentino Rossi has extended his contract with Yamaha.
The 39-year-old has been with the manufacturer since 2013, in what is his second spell with the Japanese company.
A seven-time world champion, Rossi first joined Yamaha in 2004, and has won four of those titles on the one of their bikes.
Holding the all-time 500cc/MotoGP win record, with 89 first-placed finishes, one of the motorsport’s brightest stars will be staying around for at least two more years.

Rossi has finished runner-up in the championship standings in 2014, 2015, and 2016 – and will surely be hoping he can go one better to add an eighth world crown.
With the exception of two seasons with Ducati, the immensely talented Rossi has won a race in every season of his storied career.
After breaking his leg in a training accident last year, the Italian surprised everyone by returning just 51 days later, where he managed to fight his way onto the podium in Australia.
Rossi enters the Qatar Losail circuit with the second fastest lap on that particular tarmac this year.
