Hamilton delighted with Championship lead over Vettel
British driver, Lewis Hamilton has described winning the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday as “unbelievable”. The Mercedes man claimed victory on the tracks in Japan after his biggest rival, Sebastian Vettel retired early in the race. Hamilton now has a 59 points gap over Vettel, meaning that he is now just a victory away from his fourth Formula One Title, and you can use these bet65 bet credits to back Hamilton to the title.
He has now won four of the last five races. Peradventure Hamilton wins the United States Grand Prix in a fortnight, and Vettel doesn’t finish in the Top 6, meaning he extends his lead by 16 points, which will be unassailable by the German driver.
Vettel and Ferrari have looked to be in command of the Drivers’ Championship after they set the pace at the early part of the season but Hamilton’s remarkable form had seen him reclaim the pole at the top of the standings. Just 4 races are left in the F1 season of which 100 points are still available to be won. If Vettel wins all 4 races and Hamilton fails to reach pole in all four, then the German will win his first title in 4 years.
Speaking after the race, he said as quoted by Autosport, “It is kind of unbelievable to think that we are where we are,” “I am as excited to have a good race with Seb here, as I was last race, but obviously he has been incredibly unfortunate. “In the world today, in F1, it is a lot about reliability – the whole performance and not just speed on track. “The team has shown for many years now we have a solid platform. “We are leaders in that area, so thanks to everyone at the factory in providing me a car where I can use my ability.” he added.
Vettel has suffered a remarkable loss of form after retiring in Singapore and finishing 4th in Malaysia. He has been outscored by 56 points in those races, meaning that Hamilton can win his third title in four years in a fortnight or at a later date.
