Caroline Olsen’s tough season – now she breaks with Team Meen

Everything was cheers and joy when Caroline Olsen signed with Meen Motorsports – to drive the Yamaha R6 in Superstock 600. Now the split has officially become fact.

It’s no secret that it’s been a tough season with my new team. I had great expectations when I signed this year with Meen Motorsport and was supposed to drive the new Yamaha R6, but it’s not gone as planned. We have been struggling with technical problems, lack of testing, and a bike that was over a month late.

Mean Meen Motorsports

Meen Motorsports is an award-winning motorcycle race team and shop established in 2012. The Meen Motorsports racing division currently competes in the MotoAmerica series which is sanctioned by the AMA and FIM North America.

To date, two national MotoAmerica championships have been won by the Meen Team. First, Joe Roberts won the middleweight class (600 Superstock) in 2015, and then, Josh Herrin in the heavyweight class (1000 Superstock) in 2016. If you curious about motorcycle motorsport and want to check it out, you are in for a lot of fast-action! Fancy betting on the sport? There are plenty of opportunities for this as well. Take a look at the different teams and check out the odds if you’re comfortable enough to predict a winning team.

The results have been unstable and Caroline struggled to get into her groove. She loves to ride a motorcycle but honestly admits this season has been miserable. Caroline had a 5th place on Road America, but that’s not nearly good enough when the season consists of 10 weekends and 18 runs in total.

Caroline still competing in the last rounds

Caroline Olsen looked likely to miss the last rounds of the championship, but last week when TeamH35 offered her the chance to ride their bike she simply could not say no.

I drove an identical bike for the same team during the winter season with good results and I know the team’s bikes are impeccable. Honda handles fantastic and it will be exciting to see if it is also competitive when it comes to top speed against the rest of the Superstock field.

The team leading racer is Benny Solis Jr, who is currently in fourth place in the Supersport 600 championship. Let’s see what this fierce Norwegian racer does when she finds her groove again
