A thrilling Belgian Grand Prix has set the title battle up beautifully coming into the last race of the European season at Monza.
Seven points separate the Tifosi favourite Sebastian Vettel from Lewis Hamilton. Victory for the Brit would see him remove the German from the top of the standings for the first time this season, even if it was only on race wins.
In the middle of the pack, Force India has new “rules of engagement” for this race onwards. This comes after Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon clashed once again in Spa, damaging both cars, costing the team vital points and ultimately forcing Perez to retire.
Both McLarens will start from the back of the grid this weekend as Honda is bringing a new power unit specification to this race. McLaren has opted to take the penalty at this race due to Monza’s long straights failing to suit the Honda engine’s lack of power. The team hopes the tight and twisty Singapore circuit that is next on the calendar will give them a chance to add to their mere 11 points acquired so far.
