Franco Morbidelli led a Marc VDS one-two in a damp final practice ahead of qualifying for the Moto2 Dutch TT later today.
Italian Morbidelli will be a force to be reckoned with in qualifying later today after posting the only 1m52s lap of the session, the championship leader riding through several big warnings on his best lap to a 1m52.973s.

Team-mate Alex Marquez struggled on Friday, but was in fine fettle this morning in second spot with a 1m53.088s, the Spaniard just 0.115 seconds off of Morbidelli and almost seven tenths clear of the rest of the field.
Mattia Pasini briefly held top spot in third practice, but couldn’t improve on the 1m53.752s he set earlier in the session and heads into this afternoon’s qualifying third quickest ahead of Yonny Hernandez, who led last year’s MotoGP race at Assen in similar conditions before crashing.
Hafizh Syahrin typically perks up when rain falls, the Malaysian fifth fastest this morning ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri. Marcel Schrotter was top Suter rider in seventh ahead of Dynavolt Intact team-mate Sandro Cortese.

Simone Corsi was ninth fastest at the chequered flag, while Tom Luthi could only manage 10th this morning, the Swiss rider a mystifying 1.7s off the pace.
Jesko Raffin was an impressive 11th ahead of Tetsuta Nagashima, who crashed at Turn 5 in the closing stages. Francesco Bagnaia, who signed a one-year extension with the Sky VR46 team on Thursday, was 13th in final practice with Axel Pons and brother Edgar completing the top 15.
16th-placed Isaac Vinales was involved in a collision with Agusto Fernandez 10 minutes into the session. The pair were unhurt, but Fernandez would sit out the rest of the session with an extremely damaged Speed Up machine.
Tech3’s Xavi Vierge was taken to the medical centre after trapping his hand under his bike when he crashed early in the session. The Spaniard’s participation in the rest of the weekend is unclear at present.
