Joan Mir continued his dominance of the 2017 Moto3 world championship bt taking victory at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona.
The championship leader was able to extend his lead in the championship through yet another victory. This came after the Spaniard agreed to a three-year deal with Marc VDS to ride for the team in the Moto2 class next season.
Mir put in some decisive moves to take the win. He lunged past Jorge Martin in the final moments to take the victory, with Romano Fenati also getting past Martin to take second place.

Enea Bastianini came across the line in fourth, a good race after a tough start to the season for the Italian. He had to fight to keep up with the leaders, and just missed out on a podium place.
Aron Canet was fifth over the line, with Marcos Ramirez sixth. Fabio di Giannantonio was seventh with Andrea Migno eighth. Nicolo Bulega and Tatsuki Suzuki were ninth and tenth.
Niccolo Antonelli came across the line eleventh, with John McPhee putting in a great comeback ride to finish twelfth.
The Moto3 world championship returns in two weeks time for the historic Dutch TT at the Assen TT circuit.
