Lucas di Grassi ended his session in fourth, with championship rival Sebastien Buemi back in ninth after topping the first practice session. Daniel Abt was only able to set a lap good enough for 15th.

Stephane Sarrazin built on his first session with Techeetah by finishing fifth, the 41-year-old looking quick on his qualifying runs. Jean-Eric Vergne was not too far behind him in eighth.

The two DS Virgin Racing drivers finished sixth and seventh, with Jose Maria Lopez ahead of Sam Bird for the second time today. The top 10 was rounded off by Oliver Turvey in the NextEV car.

The session was uneventful, with no drivers making costly mistakes or running wide too often. Robin Frijns had a moment at Turn 9 but was able to manage to keep his car facing the right direction. The 25-year-old found himself down in 17th.
