What’s next? For the IndyCar Series, it’s a return to a more traditional-looking car. IndyCar officials released new renders of the 2018 universal aero kits, and they are jaw-droppingly beautiful on the Dallara DW12 chassis.

A third-party manufacture for the aero kits is still to be determined, however IndyCar officials are confident that whomever receives the contract will produce the aero kits as pictured.

IndyCar Series competition president Jay Frye, said the aero kits are “99 percent” complete.

Testing for the 2018 aero kits is scheduled for July or August.
