Leopard Racing’s Joan Mir continued his stranglehold of the Moto3 timesheets in Argentina after topping final free practice this morning.
The Spanish rider has been in supreme form so far this weekend, Mir heading both of Friday’s sessions on his Honda. As FP3 drew to a frantic conclusion, Mir upped his pace to a 1m49.824s, which was initially only good enough for second.

However, Sky Racing VR46 KTM’s Nicolo Bulega had his 1m49.7s cancelled, dropping him to 12th on the timesheets and promoting Mir to top spot.
Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda rider Aron Canet was just 0.042s behind Mir, with Qatar pole man Jorge Martin a further 0.015s adrift, setting us up for a titanic qualifying session later this afternoon.
Home hero Gabriel Rodrigo ended the morning fourth overall, with the impressive 16-year-old rookie Tony Arbolino rounding out the top five having run at the head of the field briefly.

Darryn Binder looks to be a threat for the front row later on after finishing FP3 sixth on his Platinum Bay Real Estate KTM. The South African headed Philipp Oettl, Niccolo Antonelli, John McPhee and Romano Fenati.
Kaito Toba put in a respectable effort in FP3. The Japanese rookie guided his Team Asia Honda to a 1m50.301s to go 11th quickest. Tatsuki Suzuki, Juanfran Guevara, who suffered a fall at the end of the session, and Bo Bendsneyder completed the top 15.
