Sauber has become the second team to unveil its 2017 car ahead of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
As a celebration of the team’s 25th anniversary, Sauber is sporting a classy blue and white livery with a gold trim.
Marcus Ericsson remains with the team for a third season while Mercedes junior Pascal Wehrlein makes the move from Manor in place of the departing Felipe Nasr.
2016 GP2 Series vice-champion Antonio Giovinazzi will be driving the car in place of Wehrlein on the first week of testing after the German sustained injuries while driving at the Race of Champions in Miami.
The Swiss-based team finished 10th in the constructors’ championship in 2016 and will be hoping for better this time out. Sauber will be once again using Ferrari power but will have to make do with a 2016-spec power unit rather than the latest version which both the works team and Haas will use throughout the season.
