December opener for season four of Formula E?

Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag has hinted at a December start for the 2017/18 season of the FIA Formula E Championship as the series aims not to repeat the mistakes of this season’s calendar.

The current season of the all-electric series has been plagued by a three-month gap between round two and three of series, with only an eRace in Las Vegas to fill the gap. However, speaking to Autosport, Agag has suggested that Hong Kong will kick off the season once again in season four, but in December or November this time around rather than October.

“We want Hong Kong [as the opening round]; we’re looking at delaying it until late November or even the first weekend of December. And then we’ll pack the calendar, with much more racing in January and February,” Agag informed Autosport.

“Formula 1 and the other championships are going up to November, so December may fit well.”
