Jorge Lorenzo has continued to show his dominance in Valencia after taking pole with lap record pace.
The Spaniard’s pole position lap broke the MotoGP record at the Valencia circuit, beating his own time from last year. Nobody can seemingly catch Lorenzo this weekend, as he races in Yamaha colours for the final time.
Behind Lorenzo was Marc Marquez, who was the only rider who was really able to challenge Lorenzo at all. The Repsol Honda man was still three-tenths back of pole and will have it all to do if he wants to beat Lorenzo tomorrow.

Third was Valentino Rossi, who was over seven tenths back on Lorenzo. The second row is headed up by Maverick Vinales, who will be riding his last race for Suzuki tomorrow. He is followed by Andrea Dovizioso and Pol Espargaro.
Andrea Iannone will start seventh in his final race for the Ducati team, with Dani Pedrosa just behind him in eighth. Aleix Espargaro will start ninth, whilst Bradley Smith will be in tenth place.
The two riders to come through from Q1, Cal Crutchlow and Danilo Petrucci, will start eleventh and twelfth respectively.
The MotoGP race gets underway tomorrow at 13:00 BST. You can follow it all here at Read Motorsport.
