Formula E Season Three Preview: Techeetah

Techeetah are the second new team in Formula E for season three, taking over from Team Aguri after the London ePrix in July.

Known as Amlin Aguri in the inaugural season of the FIA Formula E Championship, they were able to finish seventh out of ten teams. This was mainly thanks to Antonio Felix da Costa winning the Buenos Aires ePrix.

For the 2015/16 season the team decided to use the first powertrain rather than develop their own, which meant that weren’t able to compete for positions at the front. While Da Costa stayed with the team for the full season, their second seat saw three different drivers.

Rumours of a takeover were circulating, and it was announced before the final ePrix of the season that China Media Capital would be taking over from Aguri. Now branded as Techeetah, the team will be using Renault’s powertrain for the upcoming season.

Find out how Techeetah have done during testing, their selection of drivers and how we predict they will do in 2016/17.
