Sebastien Buemi topped the timesheets in the final testing session at Donington Park before the next Formula E seasons gets underway.
The defending Drivers’ Champion was fastest during both the morning and afternoon sessions at Donington Park. He also set the Formula E lap record and became the only driver to go under 1m29. The record has tumbled throughout testing this summer.
His teammate Nico Prost was second best during the afternoon session with an impressive 1m29.205. Jean-Eric Vergne also looked impressive as he has done throughout the week, finishing second with a 1m29.109 in the morning and ending his testing in fourth. Vergne’s teammate Ma Qing Hua finished ninth in both sessions.
Daniel Abt finished the morning in third but was bottom during the afternoon. His teammate Di Grassi also had a difficult time, bringing out the red flag at least once, and he got 16th and eighth in the two sessions.

DS Virgin’s Sam Bird and both of the Faraday Future Dragon Racing drivers looked impressive during the full day, all three finished in the top seven during both stints. 0.034 seconds separated Loic Duval and Jerome D’Ambrosio in the morning, and the gap was even smaller by the end of the day.
The two Mahindra drivers looked close in terms of pace, but it was the new addition Felix Rosenqvist who finished higher than his more experienced teammate Nick Heidfeld during the day.
A few of the teams found themselves no higher than tenth after both sessions, although it doesn’t mean they will have to worry. NEXTEV have looked better than they did during what was a dismal season two. Venturi and new manufacturer Jaguar were also lower in the standings today.
With the final testing session before season three concluded, the FIA Formula E Championship will return again with the Hong Kong ePrix on Oct. 8.
