NextEV have announced that their driver line-up for the FIA Formula E Champion remains unchanged for season three.
Drivers’ Champion from season one Nelson Piquet Jr. returns for his third season with the team, while Oliver Turvey comes back for his second full stint in Formula E.
“I am happy to be continuing to race with the team that I won the world championship with,” Piquet Jr said. “And we are looking forward to being able to fight for victories again next season.
“We have come off the back of a challenging season, but that meant we learnt a lot and we are stronger for it.”

NextEV had a very difficult second season, finishing last out of all the teams that took part in a race. Their highest finish was sixth in Beijing, although they finished the season with a ninth and tenth place finish.
British driver Turvey has thanked Martin Leach for the opportunity, and is excited for the future.
“I learnt a lot in my first full season and have taken this experience into the summer testing to work with the team on developing the new car.
“The team and I have similarly high ambitions for the season ahead and we will work hard together to achieve them.”
The third season of Formula E starts at a new location, with Hong Kong hosting their first ePrix on Oct. 8. A month later they will then go to Marrakesh, Morocco.
