A puncture on the closing laps of the season finale at Battersea Park ruined what was a superb effort in qualifying from Oliver Turvey.
The Brit reached Super Pole in qualifying for the second consecutive race, and ended up qualifying in fourth position for the London ePrix, the final race of season two.
Speaking about qualifying, Turvey said, “It was easily my best lap of the season and it was good to be able to get through to Super Pole on merit.”

In the opening phases of the race Turvey fell back, but he was able to make his way back up the field as others dropped out of the race. He found himself in sixth place after the pit stops and looked likely to get a decent haul of points.
However he hit the wall with three laps remaining, which gave him a puncture and made him a sitting duck for the rest of the race.
“I lost two positions at the start as got too much wheel spin, being on the dirty side of the track,” Turvey said. “I was able to hold position and was pushing every lap to the maximum as we were losing time under acceleration. The team did a great job at the pitstop and I was able to hold position.
“I was pushing hard to keep the Dragon cars behind and just brushed the wall and it caught the tyre rim, bent it and the tyre went flat. It was a shame not to get the result, but I’m happy with the pace over the weekend.”
