As Formula E heads towards the end of its second season, with just one weekend left in London before we will have a champion crowned, eyes are already on season three which will see the series head to new destinations.
While not official, a leaked version of the Formula E calendar was originally published by motorsport.com and has some interesting additions and notable exclusions for next season.
It is already known that the season will open in Hong Kong in October. Unusually for Formula E, the race will take place on a Sunday due to support events on Saturday. The circuit is located in the central Harbour front area, with tickets already on sale for 9th October.
The season start has completely changed. In seasons one and two we saw the now familiar Beijing, Putrajaya and Punta del Este, with all three departing for the third season.

There is also a reduction in the number of races before Christmas to just two, with a race in Marrakech on November 12th.
A return to Latin America with races in Mexico and Argentina are in January and February respectively, along with the Long Beach race in late March.
Singapore is set to join as well, pencilled for April 22nd. One would expect the Formula One facilities in Marina Bay to be used, although on a revised and shortened circuit.
A return to Monaco in May just before the Grand Prix is a replacement for Moscow which dropped out this season, kicks off the European season with the events taking a pace with two races each in May, June, and July.
A return to Paris on May 27th and Berlin on June 24th are separated by a new race in Brussels. The proposed circuit could see it based in the Expo, including the famous Atomium.
The familiar end of season finale in London looks to have also been dropped. In a very public local backlash, it was given the go-ahead for this season, but future races in Battersea Park now look highly unlikely.

The series has already said they are looking at alternatives in London, with Buckingham Palace and The Mall touted as a possible location, although that could be something for season four or beyond.
London’s double header will be replaced with two North American double headers, again both are sketchy on details. The first on July 15th and 16th in Montreal, and a second weekend at the end of the month on July 29th and 30th in New York.
A race in New York is notable as Formula One has tried recently and failed with their street track on the other side of the Hudson at Port Imperial. Although series boss Alejandro Agag has talked about New York, little is known about the circuit or proposed location.
