Ducati’s Andrea Iannone set the fastest time in the dramatic final moments of FP3. Benefitting from following Jorge Lorenzo on his final lap, his time was just 0.005 quicker than the Movistar Yamaha rider who finished the session in second.
Monster Tech 3’s Pol Espargaro put in a stunning lap of 1:32.662 on his satellite Yamaha to finish the session in third. Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez was just 0.056 behind in fourth, with Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales in fifth a further 0.121 behind. The last rider in the 1:32s was Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa in sixth, with a time of 1:32.915.

Crucially the last of the riders through to Q2, are Valentino Rossi in seventh, followed by Andrea Dovizioso in eighth. Bradley Smith looked a lot happier in ninth, being the first time this season the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider has earned a pass through to Q2. Cal Crutchlow is the final rider straight through in tenth.
The riders who will fight it out in Q1 for the final two Q2 spots are Danilo Petrucci in 11th, Scott Redding in 12th, and Aleix Espargaro in 13th who was the first rider unable to improve on his best time from Friday. Also in Q1 will be Hector Barbera (14th), Yonny Hernandez (15th), Jack Miller (16th), Eugene Laverty (17th), Loris Baz (18th), Stefan Bradl (19th), Alvaro Bautista (20th) and Tito Rabat (21st) who was the only other rider who didn’t improve from Friday.
FP4 is due to take place at 1230 BST, with Q1 set to follow at 1310 BST and Q2 at 1335 BST.
