Grosjean not entirely happy despite points

Romain Grosjean scored points for the third race out of four this season after benefiting from the first lap incidents.

The Haas driver started the race from 15th with his teammate alongside him, managed to be ninth at the end of the opening lap after avoiding the incident ahead involving the Red Bull duo and Sebastian Vettel.

The Frenchman was upbeat after the race: “It’s great to be back in the points, especially after a very difficult weekend where we were never very happy with the car. It was a good first lap to avoid all the incidents, and then I kept [Sergio] Perez behind.”

However, Grosjean was mindful of the work the team has to do to score more points in the next few races: “There are still so many things we can improve on the car. I’m still not a hundred percent happy with the behaviour.”

Grosjean now sits seventh in the Drivers’ Championship with 22 points and his Haas team are fifth in the Constructors’ Championship, five points ahead of Toro Rosso. The paddock now heads to Barcelona and it’s a track where numerous upgrades are expected across all teams. Haas will be looking to repeat the strong pace they showed at Barcelona in testing.
