Over the years, certain teams have become defined by their sponsors and sponsors by their teams. Some liveries define certain periods of the sport through the domination of the teams lavished in those colours. Some liveries last a day while others come to define a generation.
In many ways, the wholly subjective battle of what is essentially, moving art is as fierce as the perennial argument between die hard fans over who they hold to be the best driver, over who defines a generation and which personality is written into the history books of the sport that we all love.
