Alex Rins takes the pole position on the grid after the red flag was waved for a crash involving Efren Vasquez. Efren needed medical attention resulting in suspected head trauma.
Alex Rins set the fastest lap of the session at a time of 2.08.850 two-tenths ahead of second place man Zarco.

Rins had good pace from the beginning of the session heading to the top of the timesheets early on. Sam Lowes sat in second place for the full 45 minutes until Zarco knocked him to third at the checkered flag.
Sam Lowes finished the session in third with a time of 2.09.100. The number 22 is showing consistent pace which he expects will set him in good stead for the race tomorrow.
Heading up the second row is Dominique Aegerter who has been improving throughout the weekend, Following on in the second row is Thomas Luthi and Takaaki Nakagami.
Charging from the third row is Folger, Simone Corsi on last years winning Speed up and Franko Morbidelli.

Moto3 world champion Danny Kent starts from 16th place, improving by a large margin from his earlier practice sessions.
The Moto2 race of the Circuit of the Americas starts at 19.45 BST on Sunday 10th
