Marquez continues to lead the way in FP3

Marc Marquez continues his form of yesterday, setting a fastest lap of 1:40.368. Even though the Spaniard showed his typical ragged style and suffered a couple of run offs and a crash, he remained unbeaten all session.

Biggest improver was Jorge Lorenzo, with a time of 1:40.392. Though he looked to threaten Marquez on a couple of his final flying laps, he was unable to beat his fellow countryman and remained in second. Despite the vast improvement, Lorenzo still doesn’t seem happy with the front end feel of his Yamaha.

Andrea Iannone also took a big chunk out of his previous best in third with a time of 1:40.741. Hero of the day however is Hector Barbera. Suffering with flu and bed-bound while he’s not on track, he was able to set the fourth best time of the session with a 1:40.766.

Maverick Vinales finishes the session in fifth, with Dani Pedrosa sixth and Aleix Espargaro seventh. Cal Crutchlow is in eighth, Andrea Dovizioso ninth and Valentino Rossi scrapes through to Q2 by the skin of his teeth in 10th.

Fighting it out in Q1 for the final two Q2 spots will be Jack Miller who has been impressive all weekend, the Tech 3 Yamaha duo of Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith and Loris Baz. Michele Pirro replaces Danilo Petrucci on the Pramac Ducati, Alvaro Bautista, Scott Redding who had a difficult session in 17th, Tito Rabat, Stefan Bradl, Yonny Hernandez and Eugene Laverty completes the qualifiers.

Conditions are a lot grippier than Friday, and although overcast and a lot cooler than yesterday, there are no signs of the rain and thunderstorms that were expected.
