Lowes snatches Moto2 pole in Argentina

Sam Lowes grabs pole in his final lap in Moto2 qualifying in Argentina.

Visually frustrated by traffic in the closing stages of the session, the number 22 managed to find some space and set a blistering lap to knock Johann Zarco from the top spot.

In the middle of the front row is the defending Moto2 champion 0.119 behind the Brit, having held the top spot from early on in the session.

Closing out the front row is Jonas Folger, pole sitter last time out in Qatar 0.290 off the pace.

Making up the second row is Nakagami Morbidelli and Qatar race winner Luthi respectively

The third row consists of Sandro Cortese, Moto3 world champion Danny Kent and Lorenzo Baldassarri who dislocated both shoulders two weeks ago in Qatar
