Bastianini continues to lead the way in Moto3 FP2

Enea Bastianini continued to top the timing sheets in FP2 on the Gresini Honda. As expected times started to tumble as track conditions improve, but Bastianini’s time of 1:51.137 is still some way off times from last year’s Argentina round.

Romano Fenati ended the session in second place on the Sky Racing Honda, closely followed by his teammate Andrea Migno.

Brad Binder set the fourth fastest time of the session on his Red Bull KTM, followed by Jorge Navarro on his Estrella Galicia Honda and Livio Loi on the RW Racing Honda in sixth.

Juanfran Guevara was seventh on the RBA Racing KTM, with Fabio Quartararo in eighth on a Leopard Racing KTM and Philipp Oettl on a Schedl GP Racing KTM in ninth.

Rookie Nicolo Bulega continues to learn the circuit and finished the session in 10th position on his Sky Racing VR46 Honda.

Niccolo Antonelli suffered a minor turn one crash as the session came to an end and was unable to finish higher than 11th albeit less than half a second off Bastianini’s time.

The only rider not to improve on his time from FP1 was Tatsuki Suzuki, who crashed early in the session. Although he made it back out onto the track, his bike was not able to match his time from this morning.
