Jonas Folger will start the Moto2 race in Qatar from pole position tomorrow. Setting a best lap of 1:59.052 early on in qualifying, no one was able to better him for the rest of the session.
Sam Lowes will start the race from second, just 0.072s behind the German. The Brit, however, appears incredibly happy with his set-up. He pitted for new tyres with less than 15 minutes of the session to go and was able to pump in a string of quick laps.

Alex Rins will start from third, but ruined his chances of pole when he crashed heavily destroying his bike with less than 25 minutes to go. After the team’s sterling effort to repair the damage, Rins headed back onto track with five minutes of the session remaining but was unable to improve on his earlier time of 1:59.354.
Defending champion Johann Zarco will start fourth, with Franco Morbidelli in fifth and Sandro Cortese completing the second row of the grid.

Lorenzo Baldassarri has qualified in seventh, however the Italian suffered a heavy tumble late in the session and was taken away in an ambulance. Early reports suggest that he has suffered two dislocated shoulders and looks unlikely to start the race tomorrow.
Marcel Schrotter and Taka Nakagami qualified in eighth and ninth, with Swiss veteran Thomas Luthi rounding out the top 10.

Reigning Moto3 world champion Danny Kent continues to improve on his Leopard Racing Kalex, qualifying in 11th. Impressively, the young British rider has out-paced the likes of Axel Pons, Alex Marquez, Simone Corsi and Dominique Aegerter.
The Moto2 race starts tomorrow at 4.20pm GMT.
