The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing Team have expanded their MotoGP team this season. Following British rider Scott Redding’s move to Octo Pramac Yakhnich Ducati this year after finishing 13th in 2015, Australian Jack Miller has moved to replace him during the second year of his three-year contract with HRC. He will be joined by Italian Moto2 2015 Champion Tito Rabat.
Michael Bartholemy said: “It was important for us to make this step to a two-rider team. For some years, our intention was to go into MotoGP. Last year we only had one bike with Scott, it wasn’t the easiest season but we made a podium in Misano, which for a private team is something special. To have two bikes in MotoGP for a small team is also a special achievement and we can’t wait to get started.”
Alex Marquez will be joined this season by Italian former Moto3 rider Franco Morbidelli from Italtrans Racing Team.
