The Sky Racing Team VR46 continued to lead for the second day of testing as Romano Fenati topped the timesheets in Jerez.
Moto3 riders had three opportunities to take to the track for hour long sessions on what started out to be a misty day. Each session saw a different rider at the top of the timesheet.
The first session of the day was led by Jorge Navarro on his Estrella Galicia 0,0 who lapped at a time of 1:47.764, the second session was led by Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Brad Binder with a time of 1:46.626, and Sky Racing Team VR46 rider Romano Fenati led in the third session.

The Italian rider lapped fastest overall on day two with a time of 1:46.445 on his KTM. He managed to take 0.916 seconds off his time from day one which was just a tenth faster than teammate Nicolo Bulgea.
Bulega finished day two with a time of 1:46.600, just slightly slower than on day one (1:46.591). The third member of the Sky Racing VR46 team Andrea Migno finished eleventh.
Ten riders were able to beat the 1:47.000 time barrier by the end of day two having completed six hour long sessions. Navaro and Antonelli have proved consistent so far with times around or under 1:47. Navarro’s fastest time so far has been 1:46.550 leaving him second overall and Ongetta-Rivacold rider Nicolo Antonelli was third with a time of 1:46.550.
Brad Binder, Enea Bastianini, Livio Loi, Jorge Martin on the Moto3 Aspar Mahindra team (which is new to the class this season) and Joan Mir were the other riders to also make the barrier. Five more riders finished within a second of Fenati’s fastest time.
British rider John McPhee fell from his Peugeot MC Saxoprint bike and unfortunately this meant he had to miss the second session. He went on to finish in 18th place with a time of 1:48.172. Also, Leopard Racing Team riders Andrea Locatelli and Fabio Quartararo both fell during testing; luckily neither rider had ended up with serious injuries and will continue testing on day three in Jerez.
