The man rumoured to be replacing the Frenchman is reigning World Touring Car Champion Jose Maria Lopez, with the 32-year-old Argentine racing driver in town doing PR work.
He is currently rumoured to be undergoing discussions with Formula E officials over whether he has the correct licence to compete in Formula E this weekend for the British team.
The rumour is strengthened by the fact that Lopez is a works Citroen driver, and the French manufacturer has a heavy technical involvement in the DS Virgin team.
The fourth round of 2015/16 Formula E season kicks off tonight at 1900 UK time. Time is running out for the DS Virgin team to make a decision.
