Manor F1 Team have suddenly transformed themselves as ‘Manor Racing’ on their social media channels. The team have made a surprising announcement suggesting that the ‘full reveal’ of their 2016 plans will be made on the first day of pre-season testing, alongside the unveiling of a new black and white ‘M’ logo.
It has been expected for the last few days that the team will appear in the first test in Barcelona after completing their final FIA crash tests with their new chassis. It is not yet known what the car will look like or who will drive their 2016 car, however, in the full post, Manor teased their fans with:
Twitter: Delighted to announce MANOR RACING: that’s what we’re here for. Full reveal 22/02/16 (@ManorRacing)

The team have long been looking forward to this season after deferring a development of a 2015 car onto a 2016 car after surviving administration last February. The team have hired ex-McLaren Sporting Director Dave Ryan and ex-Ferrari chief designer Nikolas Tombazis as staff as they enter their first season without the authority of John Booth or Graeme Lowdon, who left the team at the end of the 2015 season.
The team also have the use of Mercedes power units and Williams technical parts as they look to move up the grid in what, if Haas also enter 2016 with aplomb, could be one of the tightest midfield championship battles in years.
