The Red Bull engine saga is finally coming to an end, with the team on the verge of signing a contract with Renault for 2016, according to AUTOSPORT.
All that is needed now is for Red Bull owner, Dietrich Mateschitz to give the green light for the deal.

Many believed that Mario Illien was set to be helping Red Bull develop their own engine over the next few years, with the team finding it difficult to get a supplier for next year.
Just last week, despite an impressive result in Mexico where they took 22 points, Mateschitz said: “We have cancelled our contract [with Renault].”
But things are now thought to be back on again, with neither Mercedes, Ferrari or Honda looking to supply the Milton-Keynes based team.
Autosport also understands that Red Bulls biggest sponsors Infiniti and Total will remain for 2016 but then disappear from 2017 onwards.

However, the two sponsors will now be reducing their fundings for Red Bull in 2016, and increasing what the team must pay to Renault.
That additional revenue for the French manufacturer will partially help fund its works team revival, with a deal for a majority stake in Lotus going ahead after the season ends.
It isn’t known if Toro Rosso will also stay with Renault, but the team are believed to be in talks for a deal with Ferrari, with Franz Tost saying that he’s “relaxed” about the situation.
