Vettel – 10
Dove fantastically throughout the race despite being fortunate with the first safety car as he started to struggle with tyre wear compared to Ricciardo in second place. However, the four-time champion controlled the lead after the first safety car and clinched his third win of the season.

Ricciardo – 9
The Australian drove as well as Vettel and kept the German honest throughout but was unable to mount a sufficient challenge for victory even after two Safety Car periods. Outperformed Kyvat in race conditions and finished a deserving second.
Perez – 8
The Force India driver made a good start after a disappointing qualifying and pressured his teammate in the top ten in the early laps and superbly managed to avoid contact with Hulkenberg on the opening lap. In the closing stages, Perez excellently managed a strong challenge from the two Toro Rosso’s to claim a creditable seventh place.
Verstappen – 8
The youngster once again impressed with bold overtaking moves after suffering a disaster when stalling on the grid at the start and being a lap and a half down on the leader. The safety car periods helped Verstappen close onto the back of the field and gain the lap back but showed great attack to finish inside the top ten.

Sainz – 8
On a par with his teammate after encountering gearbox issues in the early part of the race which dropped him to 18th place. The Spaniard climbed back through the field also with some good overtaking moves and only lost out to his teammate as a result of pit-stops under the Safety Car but still finished an excellent ninth place to score two valuable points for his team.
Nasr – 8
The Brazilian demonstrated some great determination as he stole the last point from Romain Grosjean with just a couple of laps remaining. He was initially slower than his teammate in the opening laps but gained track position and was able to take advantage during the race to comfortably beat his fellow Sauber driver to the final point.
Bottas – 7
Once again, Bottas drove consistently and hardly featured in the 61-lap race. The Finn wasn’t really pressured from behind and couldn’t get close enough in the early part of the race to overtake Rosberg who was initially slower.
Kyvat – 7
The Russian driver was unfortunate as both his pit-stops came just before the two safety car periods. Kyvat pitted to try the undercut on Raikkonen first and then Rosberg but the safety cars put a halt to his charge to the podium.

Rossi – 7
On his Formula One debut this weekend, Rossi did an excellent job to out-perform his teammate in the race. Furthermore, Rossi completed over half the race without team radio and still managed to avoid issues especially when being lapped.
Raikkonen – 6
Kimi Raikkonen secured only his second podium position of the season but finished a distant third from his race-winning teammate Vettel. The Finn struggled in comparison and was on average over half a second per lap slower than the other Ferrari.
Grosjean – 6
The Lotus driver had a reasonably quiet race and lacked race pace to fight for the points after the second safety car period. Grosjean made a mistake on worn tyres late on which dropped him out of the top ten.
Alonso – 6
The two-time world champion was racing well early in the race to be near the top ten at the first round of pit-stops. Unfortunately, another mechanical issue forced Alonso out of the race and an almost certain finish in the points.
Hamilton – 6
The championship leader may have retired from the race with a throttle problem, but was in contention for a podium and even potential race win despite not having as good race pace as Ferrari and Red Bull. Hamilton was significantly quicker than Rosberg in the race and even though the weekend was a disaster for him, Hamilton showed his superiority at Mercedes.

Rosberg – 5
The German was slower than his teammate in practice, qualifying and the race. Rosberg was able to close the championship lead down to 41 points following Hamilton’s retirement, but will be concerned at his lack of pace compared to his teammate.
Ericsson – 5
Marcus Ericsson had out-qualified his teammate but wasn’t quicker in the race. The Swedish driver was unlucky with the timing of the safety cars but was following teammate Nasr in the closing laps but ended the race two positions adrift and out of the points.
Maldonado – 5
Another struggle for the Venezuelan and involved in another incident this time with Button. Race stewards found no fault but his reluctance to concede position to Button on the outside of turns 16 and 17 eventually cost Maldonado and the Lotus team some points at Singapore.
Stevens – 5
The British driver was comprehensively outpaced by new teammate Rossi for the majority of the weekend and even though Stevens started ahead of Rossi was unable to beat him in the race.
Button – 5
The McLaren driver had a reasonable race until he unnecessarily collided with Maldonado when a promising top ten finish was likely for the former British champion. However, his race was once again ended in the pits after another mechanical issue forced Button to retire.
Massa – 4
The Brazilian was outperformed by his teammate throughout the weekend and in particular, the race. A coming together with Hulkenberg didn’t affect his race, but a mechanical problem forced Massa out of the race.
Hulkenberg – 4
The Force India driver collided with Massa into turn three after the latter emerged from the pit-lane. The German did see Massa exiting the pits but wrongly believed he was ahead and, therefore, didn’t leave sufficient room on the inside for Massa resulting in Hulkenberg’s exit from the race.
