Hamilton – 10
Hamilton dominated the weekend and was top of every session even before teammate had to revert to an older engine for qualifying and the race.
Ericsson – 9
Performed well despite his grid penalty moving him back from a well-earned top ten starting position. A lack of straight line speed meant Ericsson couldn’t progress further as he was unable to get close enough to pass Hulkenberg throughout the race.

Massa – 9
Out-qualified his teammate once more and lapped faster for the majority of the race and did well to maintain 3rd place when under pressure from Bottas on fresher tyres at the end.
Raikkonen – 9
A suspected clutch issue at the start dropped the Finn to the back of the field but Raikkonen made some fantastic overtakes to climb back into the top 10 by the first stops.
Button – 8
The British driver was running as high as ninth in the early laps and battled hard to keep his position. However, with the underpowered Honda Button lacked defence down Monza’s long straights.

Perez – 8
Comfortably out-performed his teammate in the race and across the weekend. Perez made an impressive start to the race and ran ahead of Nico Rosberg in the early laps in fifth place.
Vettel – 8
Drove consistently through the race but wasn’t a match for the Mercedes at Monza. Vettel was out-qualified by Raikkonen but was able to beat him in the race because of his teammate’s poor start.
Bottas – 7
Drove well but wasn’t able to get past his teammate with DRS and fresher tyres to snatch a podium finish in the final few laps. Bottas was on average a tenth per lap slower than Massa throughout the race.
Ricciardo – 7
Started at the back of the grid but made a good start and great overtaking manoeuvres to finish the race in the points. Ricciardo made the opposite strategy work by starting on the slower medium tyres and taking advantage of the softer rubber towards the end to score four valuable points for Red Bull.
Sainz – 7
As with his teammate and Red Bull, forced to start at the back but made good progress but Toro Rosso lacked the same pace as Red Bull this weekend and ultimately meant Sainz would finish just outside the points.

Verstappen – 7
The Dutch driver was handicapped at the start with a drive-through penalty for his team’s unsafe release in qualifying and is the only reason he finished behind Sainz in the race.
Alonso – 6
Started on the slower tyres and for the first stint and was set for a good battle with teammate Button, however, another retirement and frustration boiling for the Spaniard.
Kyvat – 6
Started just ahead of his teammate but eventually finished behind Ricciardo in ninth place. Strong race on a less favoured track for the Renault-powered Red Bull.
Stevens – 6
Out-qualified and out-raced his teammate but had a quiet race after starting in the middle of the field thanks to the engine penalties for other teams.
Grosjean – 5
Unlucky to have been hit by another driver into turn one at the start and forcing an early retirement.
Hulkenberg – 5
Had an unimpressive weekend even with the disappointment of a fuel issue in qualifying. Hulkenberg struggled with tyre wear but did well to hold onto seventh place with a faster Ricciardo and Ericsson behind.
Maldonado – 5
As with his teammate, an unfortunate early end to Maldonado’s race and had qualified his highest ever position at Monza.
Merhi – 5
Beaten by his teammate but had a strong race otherwise and did superbly to avoid crashing into the rear of a slow Raikkonen entering the pit lane.
Nasr – 5
Out-performed by his teammate for the majority of the weekend. Nasr was unlucky to suffer damage at turn 1 forcing an early stop but didn’t have the same pace as Ericsson at Monza.
Rosberg – 5
Even despite his older engine and eventual retirement, Rosberg was once again out-performed by his World Champion teammate all weekend by a couple of tenths per lap and had a poor start costing him time and positions to Ferrari and Williams.
