Romain Grosjean is excited to get back into the driving seat again as Formula 1 resumes the action in Europe for the first time this year for the Spanish GP.
“It’s a circuit I’ve seen pretty often in my career so I know it well, and I have some good memories from the past.”, the Frenchman told Witney Gazette.
Lotus are currently in 6th place in the constructor championship and Romain has earned all of their points whilst team mate Pastor Maldonado is yet to complete a race.
“It was our best circuit last year, and I also finished fourth back in 2012 as well as setting the fastest lap.” – Grosjean qualified an astonishing 5th in 2014 driving the “nightmare” E22.
Maldonado has also good memories from Spain, as he won with Williams in 2012, so Lotus will be eyeing to at least stretch their lead over Toro Rosso and Force India.
