Mercedes have debuted their championship-defending car on-track ahead of the this weekend’s pre-season test at Jerez.
The world champions’ W06 chassis made its first appearance at Silverstone as part of the team’s filming day, with both reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton and team-mate Nico Rosberg at the wheel.
Much like its rivals’ counterparts, the W06 sported a new, thinner nose as per the changes to the technical regulations concerning nose designs being lower.
Running with the car was restricted to only 18 laps in total from the Mercedes pair as a result of disruptions caused by poor weather conditions.
