# Toro Rosso reveals shakedown image of STR13

Toro Rosso has published a photo of the STR13 with which it will contest the 2018 Formula 1 season, in response to a photo being leaked during the car’s shakedown.

An image of the new car appeared online while the team carried out a filming day at a rain-soaked Misano on Wednesday. Following the leak, Toro Rosso published the first official photo of the car in the afternoon.

The STR13 appears to feature a similar livery compared with its predecessor. In a departure from last season’s philosophy, the team has opted for a thumb nose design with the new car.

The halo cockpit safety device on the STR13 features a slotted trim similar to the design developed by Sauber, with its 2018 car – the C37 – having been unveiled on Tuesday.

Toro Rosso will be Honda-powered this season following the Japanese manufacturer’s divorce from McLaren at the end of last season.

After making their F1 debuts in the latter stages of 2017, Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley will continue with Toro Rosso this season. Hartley was the first to drive the new car in Misano.

The STR13 is set to be unveiled by the team in the pitlane at the Circuit de Catalunya immediately prior to the green light for the opening day of pre-season testing on February 26.
