Valentino Rossi will undergo a medical examination on Wednesday before a decision on his participation in this weekend’s Aragon MotoGP is made following a successful day of testing at Misano.
The Italian suffered a displaced fracture of the tibia and fibula of his right leg while riding an enduro bike 19 days ago.

Rossi was forced to miss his home race at San Marino and was expected to be absent once again for this weekend’s Aragon Grand Prix after doctors set a recovery time at 30-40 days.
However, reports emerged from Italy that the Italian had attempted to ride a Yamaha road bike at Misano on Monday in order to assess his physical condition ahead of possible Aragon return.
The Movistar Yamaha team confirmed a test did take place and that he would be out on track again on Tuesday.
Rossi spent two hours at Misano on Tuesday afternoon, during which time he completed 20 laps aboard his YZF-R1M.
According to a statement released by Yamaha, Rossi ‘wrapped up his second day of testing with an improved feeling and a more positive impression compared to yesterday.’
After having an examination on his leg on Wednesday, Rossi – who is fourth in the standings and 42 adrift of the championship lead – will make a decision on whether he will travel to Aragon or not to attempt to ride.
Should he be unable to complete the weekend, World Superbike podium finisher Michael van der Mark will take his place.
