# Raikkonen leads Ferrari 1-2 in final practice at Spa

Kimi Raikkonen led a Ferrari one-two in the final practice session ahead of Sunday’s Belgium Grand Prix.

The Finn smashed the lap record when he set a 1m43.916s to top the session ahead of Ferrari team-mate Sebastian Vettel who was 0.197s adrift.

Championship rival Lewis Hamilton was just 0.001 slower than the German in third.

Valtteri Bottas’ Friday woes continued into FP3 with multiple lock-ups and his best time was slower than the Red Bull of Max Verstappen. Bottas’ lap was 1.314s off Raikkonen’s benchmark.

Daniel Ricciardo completed the top six, just over two-tenths quicker than Jolyon Palmer who was an impressive seventh fastest for Renault.

The Force India duo geared their cars towards straight line speed and it showed with Perez setting the fastest time in sector 1.

His overall lap was nearly two seconds shy of Raikkonen placing him in eighth ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr. and Fernando Alonso.

Nico Hulkenberg’s fastest time was nearly six tenths slower than his team-mate’s best effort and only good enough for 11th.

Williams could only manage the 15th and 16th fastest lap times, with Felipe Massa completing more laps than any other driver in an attempt to make up for the time lost after his FP1 shunt prematurely ended his Friday running.

Daniil Kvyat’s Toro Rosso ground to a halt on the Kemmel Straight with half the session still remaining. It’s unknown if he will be able to compete in qualifying.
