Norris to test the 2011 McLaren F1 car in Portugal

McLaren Junior Lando Norris will complete a two day test in Portugal this week.

The Brit earned a test session as part of his prize for winning the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award last year. But his impressive performance in McLaren’s simulator prompted the team to lengthen his test.

Whilst most award winners complete a total of 15 laps of the Silverstone grand prix circuit, Norris will complete a two day test at the Algarve Circuit.

He will drive a 2011 McLaren MP4-26 for the test, which is set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday.

Norris is currently joint leader of the European Formula 3 championship, with two wins to his name after nine races.
