# Valentino Rossi visits hospital after Motocross crash

According to [GPOne.com](https://www.gpone.com/it/2017/05/25/motogp/trauma-toracico-e-addominale-per-valentino-in-allenamento.html) , Valentino Rossi has suffered chest and abdominal injuries after an accident whilst training on Motocross bikes at Callavara.

GPOne is reporting that the multiple time world champion is being kept overnight at the hospital in Rimini for observation The injuries suffered by the Italian are, however, not thought to be serious.

This comes mere weeks before the Italian GP at Mugello, where Valentino’s fans will be out in force. Rossi has failed to win at Mugello since 2008, coming close on many occasions.

Although the injuries are not thought to be serious, it is not the greatest start for the Italian’s preparations for his home race. Rossi failed to finish last time out at Le Mans after pushing too hard going into the final corners at Le Mans. Teammate Maverick Vinales is still within touching distance in the world championship, however, Rossi cannot afford many more mistakes if he is to win the title.
