Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa topped FP1 at Jerez in mixed conditions to open off the weekend.
The riders went out with rain still falling after a wet session for the Moto3 riders. Although, during the session, it did ease off allowing the riders to set faster times.
Therefore it would be Dani Pedrosa who ended the session on top, with Cal Crutchlow and Jack Miller not far behind. Crutchlow himself was only 0.002 seconds off Pedrosa’s fastest time at the end of the session.

Dovizioso was behind them in fourth, whilst Marc Marquez and Jonas Folger ended up fifth and sixth. Marquez had a close run in with Maverick Vinales, with Vinales narrowly avoiding Marquez as the three-time world champion made his way through.
Aleix Espargaro was seventh, with Danilo Petrucci ending the morning in eighth. Jorge Lorenzo had a good morning session, with the Ducati rider finishing in ninth place. Maverick Vinales was the final rider inside the top ten.
It was a disappointing session for Valentino Rossi, who finds himself down in 16th place going into FP2. Johann Zarco also found himself down in 13th place and will be hoping to improve later on today.
The MotoGP boys return to the track later today at 13:05 BST.
