# Valencia test gallery: Day two

The MotoGP field were back in action today for the final day of official pre-season testing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit before the winter shutdown, and it was another interesting day.

Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales impressed everyone yesterday when he gelled with the YZR-M1 instantly and ended the day on top of the time sheets. The Spaniard continued to impress on Wednesday, ending the session fastest with the only sub-1m30s lap of the test – a 1m29.975s.

Jorge Lorenzo ran the GP17 he will be hoping will take him to title glory next season for the first time, completing over 60 laps on it. The Spaniard didn’t quite set the timing screens ablaze like yesterday and finished the day in eighth spot.

Andrea Iannone brushed off an big crash early in the day to go fourth quickest, though his teammate Alex Rins wasn’t so fortunate. The Spaniard suffered lesions to his T8 & T12 vertebra and will miss a private test in Jerez next week. You can read our report of the second day of testing from the Ricardo Tormo Circuit [here](https://readmotorsport.com/2016/11/16/vinales-fastest-valencia-test/).

The final day of pre-season testing in Valencia has left us with a pretty tantalising 2017 in prospect, but before we turn our attentions to next season enjoy some of the best shots from Wednesday’s action.
