# Driver Ratings: 2016 Mexican Grand Prix

After a highly dramatic end to the 2016 Mexican Grand Prix, it was Lewis Hamilton who emerged victorious ahead of Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.

It was a controversial podium as Max Verstappen who finished the race third on the road was told in the cool down room that he had lost his podium finish due to a five-second time penalty.

Ferrari’s leading man Sebastian Vettel was then promoted to the final podium place and celebrated his third place on the podium. However, this would be taken away from him after the race as he also received a time penalty.

This left the ever consistent Daniel Ricciardo to sweep up his second consecutive third place finish with Verstappen now fourth and Vettel down in fifth position.

Kimi Raikkonen edged Nico Hulkenberg to sixth place, while the Williams duo finished in eighth and ninth with Bottas once again their highest placed driver.

Home favourites Sergio Perez and Esteban Gutierrez endured a difficult race with Perez scraping a single point and Gutierrez finishing down in 19th.

After a highly climatic Mexican Grand Prix, we rate the performances of all 22 drivers:
