# Binder ends Friday fastest in Aragon

Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Brad Binder ended the first day of track action at MotorLand Aragon, ahead of what could be the title-deciding race on Sunday, fastest after topping FP2.

The South African didn’t have the best of mornings, a few excursions beyond track limits seeing some of his best times cancelled and leaving him in 11th. But this was merely a blip and Binder was back to his usual ominous self after finishing FP2 with three tenths of a second in hand over the rest on a 1m58.998s.

Andrea Migno made massive strides with his Sky Racing Team VR46 KTM this afternoon, improving on his best time from FP1 by over two seconds. The Italian leaped up the timing screens right at the end of the session, clocking in a lap of 1m59.152 to go second fastest. Leopard’s Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top three.

Gresini’s Fabio Di Giannantonio was another big mover at the end of FP2, guiding his Honda to a 1m59.494 to go fourth quickest whilst team-mate Enea Bastianini ended the session in 11th after making some late changes to the front-end of his motorcycle.

Jorge Navarro only managed to improve on his FP1 time by a tenth of a second and was fifth at the drop of the chequered flag, with Aspar’s Jorge Martin just two thousandths of a second adrift in sixth. Albert Arenas gave the Saxoprint team something to smile about in seventh, with Andrea Locatelli, Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Jakub Kornfeil completing the top 10.

Leopard’s Joan Mir opted to sit out this afternoon’s 40-minute practice session, the Spaniard still suffering from a fever. He’ll be back in action tomorrow, hopefully feeling a lot healthier.
