Nico Rosberg won the 2016 Singapore Grand Prix to seize the Drivers’ Championship lead from Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.
Daniel Ricciardo narrowly missed out on his first victory since 2014 as he finished in second place, crossing the line less than half a second behind the German.
Double Singapore winner Hamilton was forced to settle for the final podium place ahead of the two Ferrari’s of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.
Max Verstappen had a poor start but drove a typically aggressive race to sixth place, followed by Fernando Alonso who earned his third seventh place finish in five races.
Sergio Perez came from 17th on the grid to finish in eighth place, ahead of a resurgent Daniil Kvyat who achieved his third highest finish of 2016.
Kevin Magnussen rounded out the top ten, scoring Renault’s first points since the Russian Grand Prix, beating Esteban Gutierrez finished in 11th for the fifth time this season.
Williams had an awful Sunday as Valtteri Bottas retired for the first time this year and Felipe Massa’s aggressive strategy only yielded 12th place.
