# Bagnaia takes Moto3 pole in difficult conditions

Francesco Bagnaia has taken his first ever Moto3 pole at Silverstone in what were very treacherous conditions.

Bagnaia headed out early with teammate Jorge Martin and set a time that would be unbeatable for the rest of the session. This was mainly down to worsening conditions that saw times slow down as the session progressed.

Bo Bendsneyder and Brad Binder were able to challenge the Italian, but it wasn’t to be for the Red Bull KTM pairing. Enea Bastianini will start from second on the grid tomorrow, whilst Bendsneyder will start from third.

Fourth will be Nicolo Antonelli, with Binder starting just behind him in fifth. Johan Mir will start sixth whilst Jules Danilo will start seventh.

Jorge Martin will join Danilo on the third row, and will be joined by Lorenzo Dallaporta. Andrea Locatelli will be the final rider in the top ten.

There were a whole host of crashes throughout the session, with 15 riders crashing out. One of these was Jorge Navarro, who will start way down the order.

The Moto3 race begins tomorrow at 12:30 BST.
