# MotoGP: Mid-Season rider grades

So, we’ve made it. We’re now halfway into the 2016 MotoGP season and as always, it has thrown many surprises our way.

Few would’ve predicted that Marc Marquez would be leading the way at this stage after Honda’s well documented recent woes. But, because he’s just that good, the Spaniard is again proving his doubters wrong.

The Yamaha pairing of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo will now have to hope that Marquez makes some mistakes after the Repsol Honda rider extended his championship lead over Lorenzo to 48 points at the Sachsenring last time out.

We’ve seen Jack Miller take his debut MotoGP win, Suzuki take their first podium since their return to the class last year and much more great moments.

After a half season of drama, excitement, and top quality motorsport. We rate the performances of the entire MotoGP field as we get set for another nine action packed rounds.
