Hamilton led the way in Q3 after Rosberg had to abort his first lap due to an electrical issue. Ricciardo got ahead of Verstappen with an outstanding lap.

Rosberg stormed to the top of the timesheets. Despite setting a purple first sector, Hamilton locked up into the hairpin ultimately costing him two-tenths of a second and pole position.
