Rosberg leads Hamilton once again at Hockenheim

Nico Rosberg made sure he was fastest in each of the three practice sessions for the German Grand Prix, setting the fastest time in FP3 ahead of Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton at the Hockenheimring.

The two Mercedes drivers still have pace in hand as both did not set fast times on the supersoft tyres at the end of the session.

Daniel Ricciardo was only less than a tenth slower than pacesetter Rosberg. The two Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel were just behind in fourth and fifth fastest. Max Verstappen was sixth fastest in the second Red Bull car.

Williams looked to have made a step forward overnight and were the fourth fastest team behind Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari. Valtteri Bottas led Felipe Massa in FP3, two-tenths separating the duo. Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the top 10.

Gearbox problems for Romain Grosjean in the Haas meant he could only complete four laps.
