Despite missing out on a sixth pole position at the Hungaroring due to yellow flags, Hamilton overtook his teammate off the start and controlled the race from the front with ease.
Sebastian Vettel finished fourth ahead of Max Verstappen and Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen.
McLaren-Honda will be encouraged by Fernando Alonso’s performance which saw him finish ahead of Carlos Sainz, Valtteri Bottas and Nico Hulkenberg.
